Im having a hell of time hooking up fuel lines to this baby. I decided to try braided fuel lines thinking I could get this to work but im still hitting the intake with my fittings. In the pics the TBI isn't bolted down all the way and fuel lines are still hitting. I even have the thick Holley gasket that came with the TBI under there and it still won't work. Any suggestions on what I can do?? Im almost thinking I'll have to get spacer for the tbi but then hood clearance will be any issue.
I ran mine using stock metal line. I just cut the stock lines and added in a little length and bent them to fit right. Worked good on my Holley intake, but I have a stock TBI so maybe it's different.
i have the holley and di not run into problems but when i was looking at diffrnet tbis from several junk yards, they have diffrent length inserts on the back??? i don't know what they are called but the screw directly into the tb and some cars come with shorter ones. you can switch them. they are the hollow bolt looking things that the fuel lines screw into on the back of the tb. they will unscrew right off there. go to a junk yard and find some shorter ones. just make sure to get both sides becasue i beleive the are diffrent thread pitches.

Well I think I found out what I need. Z28Boy used these for his setup. This should elimante the stock fittings and adapter I had to buy. Now i can just hookup the 6AN line right into the tbi.
edit: Actually the more I look at it I still think it will be to close. I don't want to spend $40 and have them not fit again.

those are kinda what i was talking about... except that they are off other cars throttle bodies. with the those two you have now you will still have to screw the fuel line onto that. if you get the junk yard ones the have a female end on them and you can screw your stock lines right into them and it will give you the clearence you need

i believe those are what i used. i dont think they were a specific TB application just an aeroquip fitting. i used the holley projection manifold with GM 454 TB. i may have part #'s if you need. i bought all parts from Behling's in Wisconsin. they have a huge selection in stock.
Well I got it to work and all I did was file away at the intake a little bit and got it to sit down without touching. Sometimes I think I am always looking for hardest way around things.

I was going to say do the same thing, but I didnt know if youd be willing to go and grind it up like I would
For me, when something doesnt fit, the dremel and hacksaw are always the first tools to come out of the cabinet. If it doesnt fit, I make it fit
Sorry to dredge up such an old post, but I called Holley and they said P/N 8901558-39 and 890559-39 are no longer available... Does anyone know of another source?

i have a GM 7.4L TBI. its been a couple years but i believe the TBI is NPT to AN flare? i just took the TBI unit to a large speed shop in area and they set me up with everything. i believe the hose is called "socketless". it is a barb push fitting on elastomer hose. summit has it all as well. they also sold me two adapters to mate to stock fuel line.
Z28boy.com has all the info on the fittings as well. along with parts #'s i believe. i suspect Holley unit same as GM in that regard.
