Do you guys think i can pass emissions with open element air filter on the car because i think it will raise the hydrocarbs or should i switch back to the orginal set up just to be safe?

you should be fine, unless you have to pass a visual, and the inpector cares. If anything the open element, may lean you out a hair, if that happens your hc's will drop a hair, and NOx will go up a hair. I would test with it on, and see what happens.

I agree with Dewey. You should pass without any problems. A visual inspection may give you problems. If you are unsure just swap the stocker back on. It only takes about 2 minutes to do so.

Alright then, They dont under the hood any how. if i dont pass ill just do it again with it the stock one. But i have the worst luck with emissions, when i frist got the car i to pay like $500 for a processer then i had to take again a few months later (cause the car hadnt been test in so long) and failed end up getting a new exhuast for like$250. Then while at the mufffler shop the fuel pmp decides to go out. Then changed the fuel pump and when we did that we accidently bent the neck, which made a small hole in it which cause me to fail emission once again. Took out the gas tank drained it and weld the hole. Put back to gether failed again because the place i took the car to that told us about the leak for got to put all of the air intake on, which cause the car not to get enough air an fuel mixture and gas was drippin out of the cat put it back together and the car finally passed. That was all a bunch of
