help

my freshly rebuilt 355 in a 82 Z, was running lean, even after putting in vett prom, so i did the little fuel pressure reg trick to raise pressure .---i get it up too around 20 psi but if going higher it starts flooding the front throtle body,??---------i thought i read here you could go higher on pressure with no problem,????? any help out there on this.??

I'm going to ***-u-me here (hehe), that whoever said this was also referring to certain sized injectors. What size are you running?

Are they leaking? You can run tbi injectors at fairly high pressures if the seals are still in good shape.

they are stock injectors for the 350 vett with x fire. -USED --every where i tried no one could give me new.????----------are they aval, and where,?????---------when i raise the pressure above 20 psi it jumps to around 45, aprox and front tbi starts flooding but not from injector but from what seems to be the accumilator in front TBI???------return line pluged mayby ???????

If it quickly pegs to 45psi from 20 that means you're maxing out the spring in the regulator and it's binding. back it off a little or get a new stiffer spring in there that will apply more force with less movement.

would a fuel pressure regulator spring from newer single tbi work on a crossfire, and are they stonger than mine,??------mine IS BOTTOMING OUT.
