hey guys just got my engine back in my truck, its a 92 c1500, only problem is im not getting fuel to pulse out of my injectors, i know the fuel pump is working because i pulled the line off and fuel came out of the line when the engine was turned over, so im assuming its electrical, some type of sensor that controls the injectors, any suggestions?
Double check all your grounds, chassis grounding strap to block, make sure your distributer and ignition coil connections are good. Lack of a reference pulse will keep the ECM from opening the injectors. That could be a failed connection, shorted coil, bad pickup coil, faulty module, etc.
i didnt crank the enine over, just turn it to the on position and it spit out fuel into the cup i had sitting under it, i was told it could be the fuel pump relay? ill take any advise possible or try anything because it sucks not having a vehicle, and yes i double check all my grounds, and im running msd ignition and coil if that makes any difference?
Sounds like the module is dead or not grounding properly and not giving any reference to the ecm, among other things. If the pump turns on for two seconds but doesnt come on while cranking then this is the likely problem.
