its running sort of... need some help

ok i got the RS running, still playin with the timeing tho. now the problem is this when i first start it up it runs fine then i was test driving it around and then it didnt want to stay running. i have the performer intake (2104) without the EGR. i havent tuned it yet so i am figuring that it needs to be done asap. now with the est connector unpluged can the ecm advance the timing?

and if it continues after the tune what else could it be?

Do you have any other mods or is the intake the only one (no cam or headers?). If so double check your timing. Plug your EGR vacuum line with a screw for the time being until you can dissable it in the PROM. To set your timing let the car idle and unplug the EST. Set your base to 0° to 4° and then plug the EST back in. The ECM will take over timing from there based on the initial base that you set. With the EST unplugged the ECM has no direct control over timing.
