my thoughts would be that its just another choice to have about what you want to spend your money on.
just like there are many differnt heads, intakes, etc.. there is of course different fuel injection systems.
all boils down to what you think would be the coolest.
not what cost least for the most hp. but what you think would be the coolest to put on your car.
I spent $2400 on a V.F.I. system for my truck. All it did was ruin my engine. Couldn't adjust anything and it ran gas like a water hose. Litterally ruined my entire engine. I sent it back for a refund but of course that didn't help the $5000 machine shop bill
They now claim it was because of my H.E.I. ignition confusing it.
Has anyone else used Barry Grant V.F.I.? Obviously I was less than happy. What about the Demon series carbs from them? I may try that next on the old pick "m" up truck.
"By taking advantage of the pressure and distance properties of the venturi, fuel atomization is improved over other types of fuel injection that discharges the fuel directly into either the manifold runner or straight bore of a throttle body."
This was taken off their website, extolling the "virtues" of their Fuel injection setup. It sounds like bullcrap to me. Why are all new cars port injected? I have run Holley's ProJection on my 455- I have since sold that system and went back to carb. Looking at BG's setup, it looks like nothing more than a pressurised Dominator. The best way to go abou this is getting a wrecked TPI car (around a grand here) and tranferring everything over.
