you have to heat up the manifold iron, not the fitting
heating up the fitting will make it even tighter in the manifold casting
what i do is heat up the manifold iron all around the fitting hole and then pour water on it and real quickly pipe wrench or vice grip the fitting or stud out
i get the iron cherry red bright hot, works great always
the fitting needs to be not hot or it wont work most likely
you could still fix that one if you drill out that fitting to the OD of an 1/8" pipe thread plug and drive the sucker in with a big ford tool, or just weld that shut how it is now
either would work
