TBI Spacer questions

I understand that the TBI Spacer is a good bang for the buck mod, and I was curious as to how it works; does it create a more ram effect? does it allow for more fuel/air mixing? or does it allow for heat dissipation? or is it some combination of them all?
Thanks for your time
Clint

It allows for more air/fuel mixing, which enhances combustion. You should get better throttle response. There can be a slight gain in HP/Torque, but it really depends on how the rest of the engine is set up.
