Lopey Cam for LO3???? Whats the best. Big Block Sound.

I want to give my car that big block sound without actually swapping my engine. I have a flowmaster currently and I'm going to get SLP headers soon. I wanted to change my cam so It would sound cool. I was told a .500 lift would do the trick and Crane makes one for the 87-92 305 for $259 it's the Powermax roller camshaft. 222/230 duration, .509/.528 lift. Does this sound right??? Will it make that big block sound??? Let me know and all info from those of you who have done a mod like this.

you will never get a big block sound from an l03. you will get, a lopey big block want to be sound from your l03. and thats about it. any gear head will know that the car isnt much. and besides you would give up much needed vacuum, and you would definately need to have chip modifications done to get it running well around the cam.
radical cams are however easy to tune with tbi than with tpi or carb

True Duals, small pipe, no cat, headers, out the side, it will be loud, it should sound a little lopey, don't know about sounding big block though

DartByU, that's not true at all. My neighbor has a 383 in a 1973 Camaro Pro Street. All it took was a 295 duration .654/.656 lift, 3 1/2" pipes and 2" headers. It's possiable but doesn't seem like it's going to work on my LO3.
