Idea for cold air intake on a 92 firebird...opinions?

Ever since I got my car 2 years ago, the fog lights next to the blinkers haven't worked. I took them out a few weeks later, the blinkers still work though..
If I got some sort of plastic boxes that fit right where the blinkers go and run 3" plastic tubing up to a dual snorkel cleaner, how much better do you guys think that would be than a 2.5 inch open element?

Alot of air goes in there I'm sure, and I think it would almost be exactly the same as a ramair box for my car..

Do you guys think I should try it??

I say go for it. No reason why you shouldn't. Just make sure you keep the old parts until your for sure you wont need them.

Where would you put the tubing(into)? what snorkel?

If you want some ducts that fit the turn/parking light holes go to a site like Racer Wholesale that stocks brake duct parts. The American Sedan racers in SCCA use this set up for front brakes and they don't look bad. Just run the hose to a snorkal or two.
