Don't know if anyone is aware of this or not. I found them in the Jeg's catalog last month and have been meaning to post about them. My local Pep Boys had them in stock last week but, priced much higher. It will let you see them in person though. The dual 4" one will let in a massive amount of air. I was mazed at it in person. Nice looking. The plenums anyway. The 90 deg, 60 deg bends pieces you buy separately look like cheap crap. The plenums look like they can handle boost as it is a 1 piece casting.
The single bonnet works excellent with tbi injection when turned to the front, sideways its still better then stock tbi arcleaner.
On a camaro it would be perfect to connect to a tpi air intake with tpi filters.
Casting is nice aluminium, a little heawy though.
Price is low because its made in China and the good thing about it is you dont feel bad when you cutt the front part off to let more air in (for those who whant it the best as possible).
Im going to put some pics of my experiment on my cardomain.
Ive seen these floating around on ebay. Always wondered what kind of quality they where. They looked like formed sheet metal from the photos. Nice to know theyre actual castings. I have a composite xtreme velocity hat, and I really like it.

Any thoughts?
With a 4" to 3.5" or 3" rubber venturi fitting, they can also be adapted to setups with GM mass airflow sensors.
Thomas, what did you have to cut off? Someone had stolen the single air cleaner out of the box so I didn't get to see it in person.
How much did that hat run you Dimented?
Stinger RS your link wants me to log in.
I think I'm going to switch over to one of these from the open air cleaner when i have the money. Sure would make using a ram air setup and hood alot easier.

It is not really neccesary if you dont need the place for the filter.
I addet some pics.
same issue here. i run a 7.4L TBI with 2.00 in AC. a drop unit AC hits the linkage on TBI. so use a non drop. my clearance to hood on vette is like .125 inch if that. i use a holley TBI manifold. wont work for me. however there are other units designed for super chargers that are low profile that will work but cost an arm and leg.
If I had a 3" to 4" cowl hood, I definatly wouldnt have a problem.
What about a 2.5"....my filter is a .172 drop base offset to the front with a 2 13/16" filter...and it doesnt even pass stock hood height....so add edelbrocks tbi unit with a .5" spacer...how am I now? I figure I would still have at LEAST 1.5" of room under my hood with the new intake manifold and spacer.
P.S. Filter sits about .25-.5" under stock hood now.
