GMPP Vortec TBI intake manifold?

I was sifting through the GMPP catalog (all 383 pages of it- 39MB download size) when I can across something I hadn't run into before- a high performance TBI intake designed to fit Vortec-style heads. It's part number 12496821. It looks just like the Edelbrock TBI intake manifold except that it's designed for Vortec-style heads (it even has EGR provisions, although plumbed in externally like all Vortec intakes, I'm sure).

Anyone seen this or have any experience with it? It looks like a no-brainer for somebody who wants to keep their TBI but use more modern design Vortec heads in place of their old swirlies. Of course, you could use a Vortec carb intake with an adapter plate for less money, but this looked interesting nonetheless.

Out with the wheezing TBI dumptruck engine, in with a nasty little AFR-headed solid cammed 454 taken "back to basics" with big Holley 4bbl, single plane intake, big headers, loud exhaust, and nothing remotely close to emissions compliance or good fuel economy. Loud, dangerous, anti-social and lots of fun.

78 Malibu. Inherited from my Grandomther with only 35K on the odo! 13.4 @ 107 with mild N/A 383. With Weiand 142 blower installed....... not quite so mild. Orignially shooting for 11.99 on street tires, but mid 12s appears to be the best it's gonna do- nowhere near enough traction.

It is about the same as the Marine/Export L31 manifold.
