Car: 88 Monte SS Engine: Super-rammed L-98 383 Transmission: T-56 6-Speed Axle/Gears: 8.5" G-BODY G-80 3.73 | Hey all, I want to build a roller tbi L05 for my 95 Suburban I have some ported 90 Corvette 113's with a Performer Rpm intake, Stock 95 LT-1 cam and LT-4 HOT-CAM spring setup, Gibson Shorty headers, and true dual 2.5" full exhaust.
Question- What is a safe cmpression I could buld this engine with these 113's, which are now 60cc chambers, due to the porting? I still want to run 87-89 OCTANE, and also run 91-93 sometimes. My 95 BURB has 176K on her, and I want to keep it, but get some more out of it. All help would be great.
BTW, I would like to hear what types of pistons you all would suggest also. It will be a 355, no more. I was thinking 9.8:1 like the 88-91 Corvettes had with their combination, but was not sure if the 6000+ weight of the BURB, would conflict with this high of a compression.
Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year to you all . | | |
