Im thinking about swapping my TBI manifold off my 88 305 TBI to a carberated manifold. I have 2 available to me in the basement. 1 is a Edelbrock Tourqer 2. Came off the 383 stoker we have in the garage when we got it. The other one is a Edelbrock Performer RPM 7101. Would either maniold be a good use with my engine as long as i use an adapter. I also have a throttle body spacer i will be adding to this setup. Or should i ditch both manifolds and buy a new one. If so which one. Any suggestions? And i plan on adding my throttle body spacer now to my stock manifold, and my question is: Do i have to re adjust my throttle linkages and TV cable, or will i be ok with just bolting it on? It came off a 92 350 in a Z71 4x4. Thanks for looking and any insight will be greatly appreciated!

I would go with the Performer RPM in a heartbeat over either the torquer2 or stock manifold. However, the Performer RPM is taller then the stock manifold and it may be a tight fit to the underside of the hood.
Edebrock has the manifold dimensions on their web site. Gives the measurements from the china wall rail to the carb pad. See how much taller it is over your currrent intake and how much further up the TBI/air-cleaner is moved. Then go from there are to whether it will all fit or not.

Sounds good, thanks for the imput. I have 3 other K&N air filters ranging from 6" down to 2" round filters. So ill just have to test with the filters to see what will fit. Any idea about having to re adjust my throttle cables and tv cables w/ the spacer on?

Most likely have to adjust things. Even the fuel lines will move upward with the TB spacer. Note that swapping the intake will also require a handful of changes. Such as requiring the inner 4 mountng bolt holes to be elongated. Easy enough to do, as long as you know this.

i asked the seller if he had to modify or re adjust anything on his engine before he installed the spacer. He said he had to do nothing, just bolt on and go. But also if i do have to re adjust my cables, how would i go about doing so???
thanks for those and they helped alot, does the TB have a gasket under it and if it does will i have to buy a new one when i put the spacer on? i think im going to try the bending the retainer on the pedal and see if that works otherwise ill have my friend whos a better mechanic fix it.
