When I'm on the highway or interstate, and hit it to get up to 60, the car seems to shudder a little bit, like its lacking fuel or something .
Upon further inspection yesterday, I noticed a clip is broke on one of the harness connections going to the driver side injector. Could this be causing the harness to keep losing connection and therefore making me lose fuel? Can I replace just the connector, or do I have to replace the entire harness? Could this also be causing the vibrations at highway speeds? I didn't get a chance to look it up in the manual yet.
One of the injector clips is broken on mine too.. I don't have any problems with it, but it's always made me kind of nervous. I actually found just the injector connector with clip at napa. You just splice it into your harness to replace the old connector.
something else i would check to... i didnt see whether or not u run cats. if so and it turns out that the injector clip dont work. i would check the cats. my car wouldnt hardly get up to 85, i thought it was just a terd. and when u have it in neutral and mash on it, it takes about 7 second to hit 3500 then it would die down. so i went and bought plugs, wires, and a rotor. and while i was in town, i wanted to make it loud for my gf who was driving it to piss her off. so i bought a 12" glasspack to bring home and weld on. well when i pulled the pipe off the cat. OH CRAP! there was my problem. all clogged and broke up in the pipe. cleaned all that out and gutted the rest of the way. and now the car will do about 125 estimated for a completely bone stock 305. but if u dont have cats... sorry for rambling. have fun take care

It might be an exhaust problem.... I know the kid put 3in pipes w/ some kind of muffler on there.... I don't recall there being cats on there..... I haven't messed w/ the car in almost a month now. It's sitting over at the garage at my parent's house w/ a cracked rim..... I'll check that and get back to ya. Good idea though.... I didn't even think about cats. Thanks!
Update.... Got the car back on the road a few days ago.... She runs strong, just has a slight shudder every now and then, and doesn't have very good acceleration....
I had an issue with spark plug wires melting on factory exhaust manifolds when I first got the car.... Thought I had fixed it.... Apparently not..... I think that's my main problem.....
I bought the wires today..... Putting them on tomorrow.... Will update then...
Anyone have any problems with their spark plug wires melting on a completely stock engine? I posted in the General Engine and Tech forum too to try to get some answers....

Reason: Added last paragraph
fuel pump? Before the fuel pump went out on my old 90 RS it started to shutter but only when I was on the throttle 50-100% or when I would try to accelerate from 60mph to XXmph on the freeway. Thought it was a spark plug or wire but turned out to be the pump.
Hmmm..... I hope its not the fuel pump..... I need to change the filter. I have one, just haven't had time to do it, nor the place to. Mine shudders around 60-70 when I am keeping a steady speed, then stutters when I hit the gas.... I also have a broken injector clip, so it may be that as well.....
