Please Help me !

Hi, I have the following problem with my car, 305TBI.
As I drive the car stops suddenly, a light "Serive Engine Soon" lits and the steering wheel gets locked. The other problem I have is when I change into Reverse Shift the car engine stops and vice versa when I go from Reverse Shift to 1st Shift the engine stops again. Any ideas of what might be causing the problem? The Gearbox is automatic.
I buy brand new : Oxygen Sensor , TPSensor , Ignition Wires , Distributor Cap + Rotor , Fuel Filter , Oil Filter but the problem stil yet

PARK IT IMMEDIATELY! ITS NOT ELECTRICAL!
if your steering locks up it is not an electric problem.
your steering is not supposed to lock until you turn the engine off, put the car into park, and take the key out.
very bad having your steering lock when you are driving.

Re: Please Help me !

Ok off the wall here but this happened to me with another chevy the lock up tork converter was acting up and it would stall the motor. I unpluged the connector and it solved the problem but without knowing or seeing the problem its hard to say whats wrong

When the steering locks is it locking or just hard to move???? If it locks when you shift watch the key does it move on its own???? you might have to rebuild your steering if something broke inside there are a couple of cables that run from the shifter to the steering
Without seeing the problem its hard to say

Re: Please Help me !

Ok then your steering is not "locking" when your motor dies no power steering

Then we have to go back to the tork converter lock up or something moveing in the steering when you shift to turn the power off to the motor
