What is the recommended octane I should run in the Lo3, and what is the highest octane I can run?

But will lo3s run better with higher octane? Will it affect gas mileage or horsepower the higher or lower the octane?

It will give you no gain. Unless you got aftermarket heads or pistons that change your compression ratio, theres no point in spending more on gas.
The engine was designed to run on 87 octane.
