Hey guys.. I just got my car on the road for good last week, L03 w/ 700R4. I've got the shift kit.. 3.42 locker axle.. Open element aircleaner, Taylor 8mm wires, cap, rotor, and all of that standard tuneup stuff. Now I'm wondering what to do next...
I'm looking to do small bolt ons for now, over the winter I was thinking about pulling it and redoing the valve seals and stuff.
Oh yea, and for some reason my oil pressure is 410 KPA (41 PSI) is this normal?

Your oil pressure is fine. Now that you have gears, you can call March or JET for an underdrive crank pulley, I've seen chassis dyno results of this being worth 17 rwhp on an '88 Formula. Also, there's headers, such as the Hooker 2055s, a 3" cat, and a cat-back. If you're gonna stay TBI, there's the Edelbrock TBI intake. Sadly, you won't feel much improvement from the exhaust or intake as long as you keep using those restrictive swirl-port heads. Start looking for a good used pair of LB9 heads. Alternately, for more power on a budget, get a new pair of Vortec heads and have them milled to 55cc. Then use GM's Vortec TBI intake, SDPC offers it separately and as part of a Vortec-heads-conversion-kit for TBI 350 pickups. The LT1 cam is a safe choice whichever way you go.
305 with headers, exhaust, cam ,milled vortecs and intake was done by ChevyHighPerformance magazine a few years ago on a '92 Camaro RS LO3. they ordered a custom cam from crane, specs of 210/214, 479/488, 114, plus 1.6:1 exhaust rockers, and a Turbo City 620 cfm TB, and with a 700R-4 found they had 257 rwhp @ 5150 rpm, 295 RWTQ @ 3500 rpm. That's better than the stock LT1 in my '95 Z28. That'll put you in the 13s with a 3.73:1 gear, drag radials, and a 2500 stall converter.
