tbi switch over problems. not firing!!

so im in the middle of switching over to tbi in my 85 chevy k5, i know not a firebird or camaro im sorry. but i know you guys could still help me. we got the same motors after all. i just cant get it running right. im running the gm crate 350 h.o. motor. everything is hooked up as it should be with sensors and eveything else. about two weeks ago i had it running good in my driveway but i was working on my steering at the time so i couldn;t take it out for a test run. then a few days after that it started backfiring and had starting. i never changed a thing on it from before. then a few more days later and it wont even fire up at all. still never changed anything. the injectors are putting fuel in. well there pulsing it in, not a nice flow, the #1 plug has spark, and i poured fuel down the tb to see if it would fire, and still nothing new... any ideas? i sent my ignition module in hoping thats it, so we'll see. still haven't gotten the replacment one back yet. i just doubt thats the real problem since i had spark and the injectors seemed to be firing. im at a total loss for ideas
