Re: LO5 head question

really depends on what you would like to do with the engine. If its in a wagon i would want a nice low end torquey motor which tbi heads are fine for. They will provide great performance below 4500 rpm. If ported they flow surprsingly well and can make some good numbers. Paired with an lt1 cam, should be a good performer if your on a budget.

Re: LO5 head question

Thanks for the info I kinda figured the TBI heads would be good enough for a daily driver just looking to get a little more out of it that's why I'm doing the cam swap. Also picked a Holley TBI at the local pull a part this past weekend for 23 bucks so I'm goona run that instead of the UTBM.

Re: LO5 head question

nice find, yea the cam swap will make a nice addition to the tbi heads. Like i said, if you want some good performance out of the heads for the $, enlarge the intake side and exhaust side, polish the exhaust side port. Fairly easy and cheap.
