Re: glow shift fuel pressure gauge

how about you just position the adapter so the gauge fitting faces outward and not upward. also, make sure the sender is 1/8" NPT, otherwise you will need an adapter.

Re: glow shift fuel pressure gauge

if it is made for a full gauge i think just a sender will fit just fine.

Re: glow shift fuel pressure gauge

i was thinking of doing the same but using this fitting............
http://www.toolsource.com/fitting-01...y-p-95304.html

anyone know if it would work?

also on a side note, if i was to use the fitting from the first link, could u plumb ur fuel feed line from there for a nitrous kit along with the fuel pressure sensor or would that affect fuel pressure negatively?

Re: glow shift fuel pressure gauge

Considering the following --
"There are no stupid questions.
There is however, an abundance of inquisitive idiots." --
I'll pose the question anyhow, confident that the usual expertise here
on the boards will enlighten me.

On these tbi units, what does monitoring the input pressure indicate
other than the output of the pump, which I assume will be rather constant.
I assume for tuning, one would be interested in the pressure drop as
rpm/load increase, to insure that adequate fuel is being delivered.
True/False...
I can understand measuring pressure between the regulator, and the
injectors. But how can this be accomplished on tbi's?

I use the same fitting and put it were the flexhose connects to the hard fuel line next/behind/under the alternator on the fuel feed line (top).

It shows the pressure applied on the injectors. It is supposed to be stable, but all tbi cars I have mesured FP indicate a 0.5 - 1 psi movement of the gauge as you open the trottle quickly.

The pressure is created betwen the fuel pump and the block-off diaphram of the return line (regulator).
