1990 Camaro engine swapp problem

Please can anyone help me.
I bought a 1990 Camaro RS with a ACDelco rebuilt 350 tbi engine. The problem is it foods out very badly. I am woundering if the fuel pump is not right for the ACDelco rebuilt 350 tbi engine with two injectors. I'm thinking my Camaro had a mfi 305 origanally and the Peripheral Type fuel pump
in it is giving my tbi 350 to much gas. I hope I don't have to replace the fuel pump to the Rollervane Type fuel pump.

Thank You

Tim

Welcome to TGO Tim98

Pump is probably not an issue in your TBI system. TPI pumps (or as you called it MPFI) can be used with TBI system & fuel pressure bypass regulator can bring it down to about 13-15 PSI. Never the less it is less than ideal having all this fuel constantly flowing through.
Both TBI and TPI '90 camaros used in tank Fuel Pumps - the difference was fuel pressure that the two can deliver. One commonly overlooked problem is a restriction in return line - a kink or a sharp bend in hose will increase back pressure rendering fuel pressure regulator useless. The only way to confirm that you have excess fuel pressure is to measure it. Another common reason for a rich condition is a bad CTS - verify that your SES light works.

Thank you RF. After it warms up it starts flooding even more then I unplug the CTS sensor it runs better. Plus there is a small twist in the return line at the base of the tbi. Maybe we are on to something.
