ok do you own a timing light??? try to get it running and shine the timing light on the injector spray. see if it is spraying and dripping. it should be a uniform shower from the injectors.

Re: my mechanic says its the carb pt.2

I would be getting a new mechanic if they don't even know the diffrence between a carb and a throttle body injection system.

I would just get someone to hit the throttle with the ign. off first of all to see if gas is actually going through it. if not, I would unhook the fuel line to make sure fuel is actually being pumped to the injectors. then if it is I would expect the injectors.

obviously if someone trys to start it and you can see the gas coming out of the injectors thats not the problem.

I would also check the spark plugs, cap, rotor, ignition coil, fuses, just the basic tune up stuff. you could probably by a good throttle body off of someone on here for cheap if you have to or just switch the intake and use a carb, much better imo. good luck.

Re: my mechanic says its the carb pt.2

Step #1 is to test the fuel pump to make sure it's getting gas from the tank.

Did your mechanic seriously tell you that was a carb? :|

New mechanic time, next you'll have unicorns in your exhaust.

Your mechanic is right... Also change your muffler bearings and replace your headlight fluid while your fixing it... Time for a new mechanic.
