| Re: 92 L03 Fuel mileage mods "Mixed" that's about right. Highway I could get up to 32mpg on mine. What more do you want for a V8? Even the 3 cylinder "Smart Car" (which by the way is the DUMBEST thing I've seen yet) only gets 40, and that's downhill with a good tailwind!
Consider yourself lucky to get that - the 350 TPI cars get 12 from what I gather. I don't think you'll get any more without "inconvenient" mods - like tearing out all the seats and everything unnecessary for weight reduction - but even then your heaviest components (besides drive train) are the hatch, the doors (got to be 300 lbs in doors alone! lol), etc.
Basic tune up, timing at factory setting, good plugs, air filter, and tire pressure is all you can do at this point. Do like me - get a $1200 motorcycle for daily commuting - I had a 1982 Yamaha 650 that got 50mpg and I rode it to work daily to save cash for my Camaro!
