timing issues on super charged tbi how much is to much?

the car set at 6 deg like the vortech manual says the the motor pops throw the exhust a bit at fourty it is gone and runs great throtel respons is great but hard to start when warm not woried about that just pre ignition and be back to how i got this car as a basket case i dont know if that is to much advance cus it only goes up from there with rpm i thought that the supercharger box should reterd it not allow it to advance more
