i just put a set of comp cams 1416-16 roller tips on my car 2 weeks ago . i did several other mild mods. at the same time . cant say i felt a seat of the pants difference . i did see a slight improvement at the gas pump . my car is a TRUE daily driver . if a used set your looking at i would recommend you use new nuts . go for it , good luck .

This brings up a question I've had for a little while, I thought the LO3 needed self aligning rocker arms? Do they actually use guide plates?

They do not have guideplates so you will need self alligning rocker arms. 1.6 rockers are a pretty decent mod for a stock LO3.
