Fuel pump replaced! (correctly)

Just replaced the stock fuel pump with a higher volume pump. I used the pump in this link.
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/tb...fuel-pump.html (Factory Upgrade Fuel Pump for our 305TBI's!)

What a difference in drivability! Granted my old pump was only pumping 7.5 psi and the new is at 11.5 plus the potential additional volume.

I spent the time to drop the exhaust, rear-end, and tank to do the job the right way (4.5 hours). This project proved to be WAY easier than I would have thought using a floor jack, jack stands, and hand tools (for the most part)! So any one else thinking about doing their pump themselves by dropping the tank I highly recommend doing so.

Thanks for this board and the help I received,
Jono

Re: Fuel pump replaced! (correctly)

I did it the right way with a friend. It took us about 2 days taking our time. We probably worked about 3 - 4 hrs each day with a few beers mixed in.
