Sweating Throttle Body

I got the 327 built and the TBI modded as far as I could go. Ultimate TBI+ boring out to run the 52mm TPI plates.

After idling for 2-3 minutes after startup the TBI is cold enough to have just come out of the freezer as well as forming condensation. I know that has a lot to do with humidity, but does this happen to anyone else? I've never noticed it until this point.
I understand the principal of a gas moving from high to low pressure will drop in temperature(Air Conditioning). Should this lead me to believe that I have good vacuum at idle and could have gone with a larger cam?

Re: Sweating Throttle Body

I would ignore it. It happens to me as no heat whatsoever to TB unit. In fact I think ice buildup caused my throttle to stick. That was a cool day. Some snowmobile carbs send coolant heat to carb to prevent that.

Re: Sweating Throttle Body

On truck BBC TBI uses a heated Q-Jet to TB cast iron adapter plate with coolant passages for quicker heat equalization. I have seen carbs ice-up, but since I live in warmer clement I do not see this anymore.
