Cool, what exactly is this "Dash" stuff?
Did Ken every e-mail you again trying to see if you could edit the software to display the timing advance?
He said that he didn't think you understood exactly what we were trying to do. I tried just editing my eprom and it didn't display correctly. Since we replaced the battery voltage with timing advance the conversions were WAY off obviously.
I'd really appreciate it if you could e-mail me or somehow figure this out. Ken already found the data stream part that needed to be changed in the eprom. Now it's just a matter of displaying the higher bit value in place of the voltage.

It's so you can check these values at a glance, you don't have to find them in the table.
No, Ken did't mail me ... Why did you use the Bat variable? That is a one byte variable that is divided by 10. I think the spark advance is a two byte variable.
Why did you not replace the PROMID instead?
Then you could see the combined 16-bit value without any modification.
FB, I tried the spark curve you gave and everything seemed fine but the fuel filter is so clogged again that I'm backfiring through the intake manifold again. This means no way for me to actually tell you if it's helping or not. There wasn't enough spark for at idle in gear. The car would stall every once in a while so I had to change that and give it more spark in the 40-50kpa 1800-2400rpm range. The stock timing tables seem to be the best for part throttle and cruising around town but yours seem better under harder acceloration. Again, fuel filter problems means I can't do anything until I either cough up $600 for a new tank or do something else. I'm going to change the fuel filter again and if it's bad consider my car parked for a LONG time .

20 degrees of spark at idle not enough for the 212/222 GMPP cam??? Something aint right there. That's enough. Maybe your VE table has too much variance around the idle area, ie, more than 2 VE units or so from map-to-map and rpm level to rpm level. That'll make it run terribly and not idle.
Is it possible in the next revision to get the program so that it will automatically resize for the screen? My lapton screen is too small for it.
Thanks guys.
Also, is there anyone that is planning on releasing something to help understand the info a little better. I kind of understand it, but not really...

This site has lots of info if you want to read about what things mean. Seems like a great guy. He supports winaldl AND sells cables etc. BTW, I too make cables and I'll beat his price since I'm still in school and need the cash!
Anyways, FB, yeah, the timing is way off. I also got some knock counts at low kpa values and high rpm. I have to make more adjustments and see why the near idle spark is so bad. It might be that my base timing is all screwy. This might be the case because I was running stock timing tables for a long time.

I can try and reduce the size some more. Do you use 640 X 480 ?
