Looking to buy a big cubed, small block chevy short block...
I have read good/bad on the 415/427 from World Products. The price and warranty seems good, but have read some posts concerned with parts quality used for these blocks.
Would like to know what are the alternatives?
I'm looking to install this along with a Mini-ram type setup w/ AFR heads, and a supercharger. Want a durable, quality, big cubed short block that can handle it.

The low-buck 30-over 400 (406ci) is still the cheapest way to big cubes that I'm aware of. Anything bigger than that and the bottom end and machine work start to cost serious bucks. How much you you really want to spend for an extra ~25 cubes? Would that money be better spent on higher boost, a bigger intercooler or higher flowing heads?
The 415 short block is less than 5000, w/ a 2 year warranty.
I have never built an engine...and am in the "I want it now" mode. Building a 406 for my first motor might not be the best thing for me. So who makes a good 406 short block that is equivalent or better than the short block mentioned above?
