Intake distrib. hole. How big should it be?

Here is a newbie question for you. My distributor which came off a '84 305 H.O. engine fits loosely in the opening in the intake on my new 350. The intake came with a Weiand blower. Am I missing a spacer or gasket? For comparison I have a oil primer tool which also fits loosely in the opening. What goes between the intake the the distributor?

Thanks for the help.

like evil t/a said the hole is big the seal surface is the flat on the intake, there is a larger diameter ring on the distributor that a gasket fits on
