A TPI pump puts out over 40psi, which would basically turn your QuadraJet into a fuel fountain. IF I remember correctly, my LG4 mechanical pump is putting out between 5 and 6. It's gotta be somewhere around there, cuz my Edelbrock 1406 likes it, and they flood over 6psi.
Lg4s do not have an in-tank pump, it is instead a mechanical fuel pump mounted on the lower passenger side of the block and driven via a pushrod which rides on the fuel pump lobe on the cam.

LG4s do in fact have an electric in tank pump which is low pressure, I don't know if they all did but my '87 does. I'm converting to fuel injection, hence the reason for switching pumps. I know a guy that converted from TPI to carb and left his stock pump in, well his car caught fire!
