Car: 85 trans am
Engine: 79 4 bolt 350
Transmission: 700r4
what did this engine come out of??
i have been trying to figure out what my engine came out of. on the back of the block on the passenger side it sais 14010201 GM 5.0 LG, then on the fron left of the head it sais V0301CDJ 2FN220/2/, i searched the net and it said an 85-90 oldsmobile 307 said GM 5.0 LG, so what do u guys think and where can i find out?? and what kind of oldmobile had a 307? thanks alot

i have no idea technically speaking but oldsmobile never mad a truck in those years so it probably out of a delta 88 or whatever caprice equivalent there was for that yeat...just aguess....

The code that tells the tale is the suffix code, the letters and numbers off the front passenger side of the block, right behind the alternator.
You listed CDJ which decodes as a 305 LG4, from a F body, G Body or B body.
