Car died again, 4th time this month. Help me here please!

Car: 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS; 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Brougham
Engine: LH0 3.1 Liter V6; YBN 2.8 Liter V6
Transmission: TH-700-R4; TH-440
Car died again, 4th time this month. Help me here please!
Hey guys,
My Camaro will undergo its removal of the fourth ICM this month, as it has killed another one. I replaced the main computer because I heard it was killing the ICM, but it was obviously not the case. Whats next? Replace the coil? I was thinking of accel or perhaps putting a rebuilt distributor into my thirdgen. Let me know what you guys think. Also, if I go with accel distributor, will I have to regap my sparkplugs or can I just throw in the new coil and go on my way, I have a 3.1/Auto and the coil is externally mounted. Thanks.

If you install an aftermarket coil, you'll probably also have to install an aftermarket (heavy duty) HEI switching module that is matched to the increased primary current of the new coil. Stock HEI units don't seem to be able to handle the higher rimary current of aftermarket "high power" coils for very long.
