pulley bolt tension
how important is it to get the pulley bolts on as tight as possible, how tight is sufficiant?

well you wouldn't want one to fall off. i use the "real damn tight" method along with red loctite

What "pulley" are you asking about? The torque spec for the water pump sheave/fan is 20 lb/ft, but those are only 1/4-28 bolts or studs. If you mean the bolts for the harmonic balancer sheave, those are usually 3/8-16 bolts and should be torqued to 35 lb/ft.
