AC compressor bypass

I want to bypass my AC compressor pully but DO NOT want to remove the compressor. it looks like it could be done easy enough, just run the belt over the tensioner pully insted of under it(tensioner would still work to keep the belt tight) but I have no idea what size belt I need.
any of you all done this? if so what size belt do I need?
or am I going to be a pioneer, and be the first here to do it this way?
