Factory LT4 Cam question

Sorry I can't search for the answer, so here goes....

I have a question about how well the factory LT4 cam will run in a 1988 L98 Iroc with 083 heads and headers.

Here are the specs:

Specs are taken with a 1.5 rocker: Intake Duration @ .050 203 Exhaust Duration @ .050 210. Intake Lift .476 Exhaust Lift .480 lobe sep is 115.

What springs can I use that will fit in the stock seats and will I have valve guide clearance problems?

Will this run smooth or rough at idle?

Thanks, Mike Jones

I originally ran that cam in my L98 after rebuilding my engine. Ported the heads, 3 angle valve job, .020 over rebuild of bottom end, Edelbrock TES, 52mm TB, SLP runners, ported plenum & base, upgraded chip from Ed Wright. I thought the LT4 production cam totally sucked and replaced it with a Comp HR269 218/224 @.050. I gave the LT4 production cam away. The Comp cam made a huge difference. Just my .02, HTH.
