Car: '87 Camaro LT Engine: 355 L98 Transmission: T56 | should i upgrade my ignition control module? i've searched but seems like no one can back up their claims with facts so i'll try again
i'm converting to a speed density/lt1 intake setup, i bought a small cap distributor with a factory ICM. i believe the dizzy came from a truck, so first question is, if i stay with a factory ICM can i use the one that's in there now or do i need one for F bodies?
next question is, should i upgrade to an MSD or Holley, etc. ICM? my motor is 'mild' and won't see over 6000rpm. i'm only starting to get into the nitty gritty of ignition and from what i understand a high performance ICM will change when the coil is charged/discharged (i think that's called dwell??), would i benefit from that? | | |
