Vortech Heads + LT4 hot cam

Ok, i know there are a lot of people here running the LT4 Hot cam and vortec heads... i bought a GM 350HO crate... and i want to cam it before dump it in the car (daily driver)

Now i know that the stock valve train won't hold up to the .525 lift. and that is the reason they sell the hot cam kit.

but will that slap right on to the vortec heads? or will the heads require some machining?

i'm also pretty sure the dowel pin on the cam needs to be tapped in some.

The only reason i want to go to all this trouble is because i can't find another cam that has a decent vaccum and mileage characteristics.

So to sum up what i am asking is....

from begining to end, (other than gaskets, lubes, and the such)

what all do i need to install the LT4 Hot cam kit, on a Vortec headed- 350HO engine?

You'll need to have the guide boss and spring seat machined on the heads.
