Your car runs 0-60 in six flat? I wish I could get my car tuned right, before my head swap and with the stock peanut cam I was running 0-60 in 6.4-6.5 seconds. I should be low 6's with these heads if I can get them to run right. Also a summit 204-214 cam is a good one for 85bucks, plus new pushrods and timing chain around $150 total.

I don't know whether to take that seriously or not...
That is SO MUCH CAM for any sort of a street motor, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that. It will absolutely not work with a TBI with any kind of a chip, and especially not in a 305. I only run a 282 in my 400 with a Holley 800 carb.
You need about 40º less camshaft than that. You did the right thing about ordering the K kit, but you need something more like a Comp XR264HR. You should have a roller motor so you don't need lifters, but you should get all the rest of that stuff.

"So many Mustangs, so little time..."
I agree with RB... I like my XE262H and wouldn't go any bigger. As is, I ought to remove the 2000 stall converter and pop in a 2400 - 2600 RPM stall converter. It's a little soft below 2400.
A 305H will leave your engine gasping at anything less than 3500 RPM, I fear... Maybe I should have been more clear in my previous message. I am using the Comp Cams XE262H with roller-tip 1.52 magnum rockers, and Comp 981-16 springs. I have 1.94 intake valves with ported & polished centerbolt 305 heads, 3-angle valve grind, and 60cc chambers. It seems to work well and revs to 6K with ease.
