| How much HP can L31, L98 and ZZ4 shortblock handle? I plan on eventually puting a 350 in my car and NA it will make around 290-320HP. I want to also make sure the shortblock can also handle a blower. I would put a slightly larger cam(around 214-224) and a centrifugal blower or use my NOS kit. Would the shortblock handle it? With the L98 it would give a 9.5compression, L31 would give a 9.6 and ZZ4 would be over 10, so I guess a blower wouldn't work on ZZ4 shortblock would it? I can lower the compression by a little using thicker head gaskets but I don't know by how much. The compressions listed is using a .038 gasket I think. Thanks
