Crap... Well I went to replace my car and rotor. No big deal... Except the rotor wouldn't budge. It must've been on there for years. I eventually got it off with use of a prybar and a spark plug socket for a pivot point, but I managed to break the eight pointed sprocket directly underneath the rotor (not sure what it's called, part of the pick-up coil?) in the process. It's broken in two places and a chunk came out. Alright, now what do I do? Can this part be replaced? What are the odds that JB Weld would hold?
I guess I should've stopped working on the car after I punched a hole in my fingernail while loosening the thermostat housing. Anyone who has done that knows how much that hurts...

You'll have to replace it. It's magnetic, and epoxy (being non-magnetic) will keep it from doing its job. It will require removal and disassembly of the distributor.
You might want to just get a whole new dist.
