73 chevelle

not really thirdgen but chevy none the less. i have found a 73 chevelle and am wondering if the 350 in it would be computer controlled or not? if you guys had to put your money on one side or the other what would you say. everybody laugh's at me b/c they think the car is ugly but i like it, it grew on me since the first time i saw it. but i just want to know what you think about the computer or not. thanks

unless somebody made some pretty strong engine modifications to it....no.

fyi chevy didnt really have any computer controls until 81.

Yeah you have to get that style to grow on you to like it. The 73-77 is kind of a different style but not ugly.

well i'm not techincally an owner yet, i have found it but not purchased it, purchasing it would require me to sell the IROC. im still not sure about it yet. thanks for the info, it sounds like a good platform, it's got some sort of cam in it the guy doesn't know what and chrome headers and full duals, the engine compartment needs a good cleaning and the interior could use some bringing back to life, how hard would it be to put a floor mount shifter and some buckets instead of the bench and console shifter? thanks

B&M has a universal model floor mount shifter that should fit whatever transmission youve got.

If you plan on buying one though, call the company and verify that it will work with a '73 chevelle.
