Throttle Response( TPS maybe?)

I just got my car running after rebuilding the engine, and it seems to have lost a little throttle response.Maybe it's just me but when you tap the gas pedal theres a little hesitation before the rpm's come up.Could this be the TPS is out of adjustment,or maybe a vaccum leak? When I put the engine back together,I noticed a spot on the back of the EGR selenoid next to the connecter, that looks like a vaccum line plugs into it.Anyone know if there is supposed to be a vaccum line connected there?I set the base timing at 6*btdc.89 l98,96LT1 cam,1.6 roller tips,Speed Pro 9:75 to 1 pistons,SLP headers without AIR,ported and polished L98 heads, intake, runners and plenum,Cloyes double true roller chain.

No.When I took the engine apart,I left the throttle body on the plenum in hope that the tps,and iac would be set close enough for the car to run.
