Started my Iron Duke Camaro today.....

but the engine seems to sputter every now and then. The engine also seemed to idle high for a few moments today and then it acted like it didn't want to run. I do know the spark plugs are way out of gap and could probably use a full tune-up. Do you think it just needs a good tune up or could there be something else up?

Thanks,
Brandon

Hey i think u really need a good tune up. only other reason i can think of an idle like that is spark timing is slightly off, but i think its the gaps on your plugs.

151 cu and they were made from 82-84. Some folks say made till 85, but I have yet to see one.

Now it's throwing out a code 42 and running really rough.

yep, they made em then but i think 85 was the last year. i have an original GM showroom brocure from 85 that describes the iron duke as having "fuel injected performance". lol, what an overstatement.

oh well, i say the problem with your car is youre missing half youre cylinders. time for a v8 swap!!! want a free 305? its better than youre 4banger. take it out of my garage im sick of tripping over it.

im serious though...someone take it.....
