Scorpion Rockers vs Crane Gold rockers, or PCV Baffle Question.

I'd ideally like to go with Comp Cams Pro Magnum self aligning rockers, but the PCV Baffle interferes with them (I have non self aligning right now, I'm assuming the body's are similar on both styles of Pro Mags). It looks to me like cutting the baffle will render it useless. Is there any way to eliminate this baffle and still maintain the PCV?

If the above is not possible, which of the 2 self aligning, narrow body rockers would be better? I've found the Scorpions for around ~230, and the Cranes for ~300. There is a limited amount of info on the boards about the Scorpions, but they all seem to say they are as good/better than the Cranes, but the general consensus about aluminum rockers is that they'll fail sooner than the Pro Mags would, since the aluminum will eventually fatigue from stress.

Thanks!

Scott, just get the damn Cranes so we can finish your motor! The cranes will be fine and are probably better than some cheap off brand rocker!

BUY THE CRANE's and the new studs so we can set some valves this weekend!

The ProMagnums are made of steel and are supposed to be a lot stronger than any aluminum rocker, Id figure out a way to use them.

I use the Crane Gold self-alligning narrow body rollers in my motor and they work great! They are really nice rockers. I know several people who use them as well that have alot of miles on them with no problems!

He has to use a self-alligning rocker due to several issues.

Do you guys know of any other self-alligning rockers that are narrow body?

so you are saying that the baffles are getting in the way of the Comp Pro Mags?? are they stock VCs?

if so... here is how we fixed it on several peoples cars that i know here in Nashville. they had clearance problems and they simply just took some pliers and bend the baffles straight down... so they don't curve like stock... that will clearance them enough to fit... at least it worked w/ several people here...

Summit is now offering a new narrow body aluminum roller rocker. PN SUM-G6935-16 gets you 1.5 self aligning rockers. PN SUM-G6936-16 gets you 1.6 self aligning rockers. I am going to try these on my '72 Pickup and the 91 RS. I'll report back when I have results.
