** 8Mike9, Yarnboy, all: 5-pin Bosch MAF pigtail part # & source!

Okay guys, I knew I've seen that 5-pin pigtail at Pep Boys, and since I'm such a nice guy, I went there, and got the info:

Manufacturer: Motormite
Website: http://www.rbinc.com
Phone # (PA Office): 215-997-1800

85-89 5 pin MAF pigtail
Part # 85133
Pep Boys Price: $19.95

85-89 3 pin MAF pigtail
Part # 85111
Pep Boys Price: $15.95

So, there you go, it does exist! Of course, it's not through Bosch or GM. Have fun!

TomP,

Nice work! Dorman/MotorMite has many connectors for most domestic vehicles, and they are usually easy to find at parts stores. That's why I gave their part numbers for my article on MAT relocation.

I just solved a mystery of the world! That part you gave me is NOT for 305 TPI..it was a 5 pin for a 2.8..it works though!! Weird weird weird..it is exactly the part I needed..I am going to go to the Gm dealer with this part and tell them they are wrong and say they need to retrain their mechanics and do free work for me. Not really..but thanks again..it was 21 bucks though..damned expensive connector!!

Hey, glad it worked out for you!! Where did you find that out (that it's for the 2.8)? The Motormite catalog didn't list engines next to their part #'s; all they had under "Camaro" (and "Firebird") was "85-89 MAF".

[edit] In actuality the 2.8's on Camaros & Firebirds used the 3-pin MAF connector... the 2.8's on front wheel drive cars were using the 5-pin Bosch MAF's.

*Primary Engine application GM vehicles with 2.8L engine 1989-85.
*Use CONDUCT TITE! solder filled butt connectors 85270, 85271, 85272 or 85273 for the best connection.
*Application coverage may be greater than shown on package. Consult application guide guide for detailed information.

That is what is on the back of the box I have.
