Car: Junk Engine: Junk with nitrous Transmission: Junk with gears | STRANGE tuning problem: Tach is jerky, throttle response is jerky sometimes Lately the problem has been seeming to get worse. Here's what it does....at low rpms (although sometimes at high rpms) the tach needle jerks a little bit up and down really fast when I'm giving it just a little bit of gas, and the car accelerates, but it really "jerks" along, unless i give it more than 1/4 throttle, then it seems to be normal. The plug wires are brand new, the carb is perfectly adjusted (just tested it on someone else's car the other day) and everything APPEARS to be in exc. working order. WTF is going on??? And get this, the car feels faster than ever when i gun it, its just that it is jerky at low speeds, low rpms and light peddle applications. I should mention that I"m running two tachs...one autometer 5inch shift lite and I just spliced it into the stock tach wire....would that cuz the weird jerkyness??? I don't see how but you tell me.
Chris
