Crane 2040 and 1.6 Rocker Arms

Need a little advise, please.

I have a 355 cid TPI engine with stock heads and flat tappet lifters. Currently it has a PowerMax 2040 cam and 1.5 rocker arms. I have a new set of stamped 1.6 rocker arms I'd like to install and wondered if someone had already tried this? I'm concerned about whether or not I'd suffer from valve spring coil bind or any other disastorous side effects. Installing the new engine on Wednesday and was hoping to have an answer by then.

As always, thanks for any advice you may have on the subject.

make sure you replace the old rockers with the same type, either SA or nonSA. you can't mix and match

Have an extra set of heads, guess I'll wait until they've been ported and polished and replace the springs and rocker arms at that time.

Still if anyone has been successful with that combo let me know.

Appreciate the feedback.
