Well can this be done. I saw the LT4 conversion kit from summit, and was wondering if i could put it on the 350 TPI engine? I mean it guarentees 425+ HP, it guarentees this when converting a LT1 to an LT4, which would mean a small HP decrease from 425 with this particular upgrade, but still. Has it been done, can it be done, i need the info guys.
alright, how do people put them LT1s on the L98 motors, mybe i could do the exact same thing to mine except use the LT4, anybody though of this thouhg?, migth give you an excess of 425HP.
and i just looked up SystemMax and its for Ford Engines.
Yes it can be down. The heads will have to be converted from reverse cooling to standard cooling and the intake will have to be modified to accept a distributor.
I agree, the LT4s are good flowing heads, but for the cash to buy the heads and convert everything, youd probably be better off with std. SBC heads and a converted LT1 intake. There are other ways of making 425+ hp than just that combo.
Ja. Der 383 stroker tested by CHP with TFS 23° heads and HT383 GM crate shortblock made 490HP at the crank on pump gas, which should theoretically make about 420HP at the rear wheels (or 445HP with synthetic trans and axle oil).
no. because your car DOESN'T make 190 at th wheels, it makes 190 at the flywheel. and depending on the current running condition of the motor, and its mileage, it might not even be making that. but assuming it is in good running condition, all synthetic oils should help you pick up 10-15 flyhweel horsepower.
so you could be at 205fwhp.
but definatly not 205rwhp on a stock L03 ( i assume)
